We are committed to providing secure, transparent, and flexible payment options. This policy describes all payment-related terms for rentals with Amri Rental.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods for rental fees, deposits, and any additional charges:

Albanian Lek (ALL) or Euro (EUR) accepted at our offices

Visa

Debit and credit cards accepted online and in-office

Mastercard

Debit and credit cards accepted online and in-office

Bank Transfer

Card payments are processed through a secure, PCI-DSS certified payment gateway. We do not store your card number, CVV, or any sensitive card data on our servers.

Prepaid cards and virtual cards may not be accepted for security deposit purposes. Please contact us in advance if you intend to use such a card.

2. When Payment Is Due

The payment schedule depends on how and when you book:

  • Online bookings: Payment in full (or a deposit, where offered) is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance (if any) is due at vehicle collection.
  • In-office bookings: Full payment is due at the time of booking or at vehicle collection, as agreed with our staff.
  • Extras and upgrades: Any additional charges (extras, insurance upgrades, late return fees, damage charges) are due immediately upon occurrence or at vehicle return.

Your booking is not fully confirmed until payment has been received and processed successfully.

3. Security Deposit

A security deposit may be required at the time of vehicle collection, depending on the vehicle category and insurance coverage selected. The deposit serves as a pre-authorisation against potential damage, fuel shortfall, late return, or other charges.

  • Deposits are typically pre-authorised on a valid credit or debit card — the funds are blocked but not immediately charged.
  • Cash deposits are accepted where a card is not available — please notify us in advance.
  • The deposit will be released in full (or the balance returned) within 3–5 business days of vehicle return, provided the vehicle is returned undamaged, on time, and with the correct fuel level.
  • If damage, additional charges, or policy violations are identified, the relevant amount will be deducted from the deposit before release.

Kasko (full comprehensive insurance) significantly reduces or eliminates your financial exposure and may reduce the required deposit. See our Terms of Service for full insurance details.

4. Pricing & Currency

All prices on our website are displayed in Euro (EUR) by default. Prices may also be displayed in US Dollar (USD) or Albanian Lek (ALL) using the currency selector on our website. The Euro price is always the definitive rental price; other currency displays are for reference and use approximate exchange rates.

Payments made in cash may be accepted in EUR or ALL at the prevailing exchange rate on the day of transaction. USD cash is accepted at our discretion.

Rental prices are inclusive of standard vehicle insurance (third-party liability). Optional extras such as Kasko, baby seat, snow chains, and car delivery are priced separately and displayed clearly at the time of booking.

5. Card Payment Security

We take the security of your payment data extremely seriously. All card transactions on our website are:

  • Encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) — you will always see the padlock icon in your browser.
  • Processed through a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment gateway.
  • Subject to 3D Secure authentication where supported by your card issuer (Verified by Visa / Mastercard Identity Check).

We will never ask for your card details via email, phone, or WhatsApp. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, please report it immediately.

6. Receipts & Invoices

A payment confirmation is automatically sent to your email address upon successful booking. A full rental receipt or invoice is available:

  • Via email after vehicle return and final charge settlement.
  • On request from our office at any time during or after your rental.

If you require a VAT invoice for business purposes, please notify us at the time of booking and provide your company's fiscal details.

7. Failed or Declined Payments

If your payment is declined, your booking will not be confirmed. You will be notified and may attempt payment again with a different method. Common reasons for payment failure include:

  • Insufficient funds
  • Card expired or details entered incorrectly
  • Card issuer declined the transaction (contact your bank for details)
  • 3D Secure authentication not completed

We do not charge any fees for failed payment attempts. However, your bank may charge their own fees — please check with your card issuer.

8. Pricing Errors

While we make every effort to ensure our prices are accurate, errors may occasionally occur. If we discover a pricing error after your booking has been confirmed:

  • We will contact you as soon as possible with the correct price.
  • You will have the option to confirm your booking at the correct price, or cancel for a full refund.
  • We are not obligated to honour bookings made at clearly erroneous prices.
